Prior to joining Great Lakes Legal Group, Attorney Crump-Gibson served as Founder and Managing Member of C&G Solutions PLC d/b/a C&G Law. Founded in 2009, C&G operated as a specialized firm based in southeast Michigan providing legal and consulting services. As C&G’s Managing Member, Jehan successfully represented clients through judgment in a variety of civil matters. She assisted a multitude of entities- both for-profit and nonprofit- with business related and licensing issues and performed legal and policy analysis on local municipal matters; including zoning approvals, government-sponsored tax incentives programs and contracts.

For a number of years, Jehan has also been an integral part of the probate and estate planning processes for many families, assisting them with the preparation of important estate planning documents, guardianship and conservatorship proceedings and legal issues concerning estate administration. She is committed to community education as it relates to the importance of estate planning, having presented to various organizations, including investment clubs, financial planners, accountants, insurance advisors and civic organizations on estate planning matters. She has served as Faculty for the National Business Institute concerning Operational Issues with 501(c)(3) organizations and Probate and Estate Planning matters.

After earning dual bachelor degrees in Political Science and English from Michigan State University, Jehan obtained her Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School. While at Wayne Law, she served as Senior Advisor of the Moot Court Team Executive Board and Vice-President and Professional Development Chair of the Black Law Students Association. In addition to placing as a Moot Court Law Day Competition finalist and earning one of the top awards for Best Team Brief, she also earned awards from the Wolverine Bar Foundation and the Association of Legal Administrators. During her law school tenure, Attorney Crump-Gibson interned for Comerica Incorporated’s Corporate Legal Department, Wayne Law’s Disability Law Clinic, the Honorable Arthur J. Tarnow of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and for the City of Detroit’s legislative branch.

One of the most important things that Detroit-area attorney Jehan Crump-Gibson has learned is that she is walking the path that so many others have paved for her. With that notion, serving others has always been one of her fundamental aims. Albert Einstein once said that “only a life lived for others is the life worthwhile.” It is with this principle that she seeks to empower others and serve the community. She is especially dedicated to programs that create opportunities for those that are disenfranchised.

She currently serves as Immediate Past President for the Wolverine Bar Association and Wolverine Bar Foundation, Member of the Institute of Continuing Legal Education Probate and Estate Planning Advisory Board, Member of the State Bar of Michigan Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee, Hearing Panelist for the Michigan Attorney Discipline Board, Secretary of the Rising Achievers Advisory Board for Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan, Mentor with Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program (WOT) and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Detroit Alumnae Chapter. Formerly, she chaired the Special Events Committee for the Wayne State Law Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Strongly committed to ethics and professionalism in practice, Jehan has been recognized three times by the Michigan Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star. She received the 2015 and 2016 Martindale Hubbell ® Client Distinction Award and was also recognized as one of Michigan Chronicle’s ’40 under 40’. In 2017, she was appointed by United States Senator Gary Peters to serve on the Michigan Senate Judicial Advisory Committee, formed to assist in making recommendations to the President to fill vacancies on the federal bench. Jehan is admitted to practice law in Michigan and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
